Terms of Use

The service

PodWalk generates audio walking tours for places you choose and plays narration as you reach each stop. Tours are created automatically using mapping data and AI-generated text and voice. Because the content is generated, it may contain inaccuracies — see “Accuracy and safety” below.

Your account

PodWalk creates an account for you so your tours, library, and progress can be saved, and lets you sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to use PodWalk.

Subscriptions and purchases

PodWalk offers paid passes, which may include auto-renewing subscriptions and/or one-time purchases. The following applies to purchases made through the Apple App Store:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-renewing subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device’s account settings after purchase. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• The exact price, billing period, and any free-trial terms are shown in the app at the point of purchase and may vary by region.

Refunds for purchases made through the App Store are handled by Apple in accordance with their policies. Purchases made through Google Play are governed by Google’s equivalent terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use PodWalk for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• copy, resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit generated tour content except as permitted for your own personal use;
• attempt to reverse engineer, interfere with, or place unreasonable load on the app or our infrastructure; or
• use the app in a way that infringes the rights of others.

Content and intellectual property

The app, its branding, and the software behind it are owned by us and our licensors. Map and points-of-interest data are provided by third parties, including OpenStreetMap contributors and Mapbox, under their respective licences. Generated tours are provided for your personal, non-commercial use.

Accuracy and safety

PodWalk’s routes and narration are generated automatically and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Use your own judgement while walking: obey traffic and local laws, stay aware of your surroundings, and do not rely on the app for navigation in hazardous conditions. PodWalk is provided for informational and entertainment purposes and is not a substitute for official maps, signage, or local guidance.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

PodWalk is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss arising from your reliance on generated content or from your conduct while walking. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer under mandatory Dutch or EU law.

Termination

You may stop using PodWalk and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the app in a way that harms the service or other users.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
