GuideAlong (formerly GyPSy Guide) is built for the car. Its tours are designed around scenic drives and national parks in the US and Canada, narrating as you drive past viewpoints and trailheads, and they work offline because that's the only way they could work in a park with no signal. It's an excellent product for a different activity than ours.

When GuideAlong is the better choice
You're driving Yellowstone, the Icefields Parkway or any of the routes they cover. That's their home ground and we don't compete there — PodWalk is a walking app and a park road is not a walk.
When PodWalk is the better choice
You're on foot. PodWalk plans walking routes at walking pace, with stops a few minutes apart and audio that starts when you arrive rather than when you drive past.
